HARVARD

Albany Mulholland (-2)

Albany is from Gloustershire, England, and is excited about returning to home soil to compete against Yale. A former rugby player, he is a freshman and has been introduced to the sport of polo at Harvard. Albany seeks to impress the partisan crowd with his dashing good looks, sculpted body, and sense of humor.

Michael Scalise (-1)

Mike is a junior studying history and lives in Nahant, Massachusetts. He played his first game of polo just six months ago but has been able to pick up the sport with relative ease. A former lacrosse player, he adjusted quickly to the speed and aggressiveness of the game. An offensive threat, Mike will certainly be leading the Harvard attack down Smith’s Lawn on Saturday afternoon.

Nicholas Snow (4)

Nick is a senior studying government and serves as the Captain of the team. Raised in Massachusetts, he grew up playing polo during the summers at the Myopia Polo Club. The younger brother of former 10-goaler Adam Snow, Nick carries a handicap of 4 goals. He will be travelling down to Argentina after graduation to play polo and is thrilled about concluding his collegiate career at Guards.

Pablo Botero (0)

Pablo is a senior from Medellin, Columbia and has been playing polo for three years at Harvard.He served in the Columbian Military for year as a translator in the Sinai Peninsula before arriving in Cambridge. He studies government and will be returning home after graduation to pursue a career in law. A strong defensive player, Pablo has a strong back shot but has still guaranteed a goal this year.

YALE

Yasmine Moezinia (-2)

Yasmine graduated from Yale in May with a concentration on British imperial history, an interest perhaps inspired by living her formative years in London. She began riding when she was small enough to roll down a horses' neck and it was probably after many such tumbles that she lost her fear of riding. Yasmine first picked up a polo mallet during a trip to Jaipur aged 16 and has developed her skills in Polo over her four years at Yale. Ending her collegiate Polo career as Captain of Yale's Women's Team, she is excited to continue playing in the outside world.

Michael Losak (-2)

Michael graduated Yale in May 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Although he grew up with horses, he did not begin playing polo until his first year at University. Next year, he plans to move to New York City to work for D. E. Shaw Research.

Matthew Baer (-2)

Matt graduated in 2009 as a Cognitive Science major in Calhoun College. He learned how to play polo at Yale three years ago, and served as President of the team this past year.

Graham M. Radman (-2)

Graham graduated from Yale in 2009 with a degree in Computer Science and Psychology. He has served both as team President and Captain, despite having just learned to play polo upon arriving at Yale four years ago. He will start work this Summer as a financial consultant in New York City.

Joevy Beh (3)

1st Non-Argentinean to win the LaNacion newspaper award as best player in Potrillitos tournament in its 38 years history. He captained the legendary Argentina Heguy Family team, Chapa. At the age of 14 he played for the Heguy family team, Chapa and won the best player award in the Potrillos tournament and his handicapped was raised to 2 goal in Argentina. In 2006 he won the 2nd Malaysian Polo Open. Won the best player and top scorer awards. Wellington college, UK Polo Captain.

HARROW

Jack Richardson (2)

Jack is the Harrow captain. He has been in the A team since he joined the school and is our most experienced player. He plays regularly at Kneep Castle and Cowdray Polo clubs. He has played in 8, 12 and 15 goal tournaments this year and has never lost an Eton Harrow game. He has been nominated for the best Low Handicapped Player for the 2009 Audi Polo Awards. It is a pleasure to watch Jack playing Polo he is skilful and clever showing great imagination and flair.

Salman Alhamrani (-2)

Salman started playing polo at the age of 12 at Coworth Park. At Harrow he has contributed significantly to Harrow Polo as a regular A team player. He is a talented player and has played in the GCC Charity cup and his fathers team ‘Plamera’. He is a member at Guards Polo Club and is hoping in impress the girls with his skills in June.

Kimoi Moi (-2)

Kimoi started playing polo in Kenya at the Manyatt Polo Club. He has captained the U16 Kenyan team and is a member of the U18 squad. He started playing at the age of 14 at Harrow. He is a passionate player with an excellent love of the game. He was in the winning team against Eton last year and his skill on the pitch is impressive to watch.

Piers Lakin (-1)

Piers started playing polo at the age of 12 at Cowdray Park Polo Club. Since then he has been a consistent B team player at Harrow. This year will be his first in the A team and his first Eton Harrow match at Guards. He is a talented player with a good eye for the ball and is excellent at supporting his team mates.

ETON

Henry Jennings (0)

Henry started polo at the age of 13 at Cowdray Polo Club. He moved onto playing at the Beaufort where he has been based since, and plays for their Gannon team. Henry has been a valuable member of the top team over the last couple of years and is now keeper of the society. He is keen to get the all important victory over Harrow.

Jose Entrecanales (1)

Jose began his polo career at the age of 12 when he started playing in Madrid. He played regular low goal tournaments alongside his brother, and continues to play in Madrid and Sotogrande. He moved on to playing some 12 goal polo before joining Eton in C block. Now in his second year with the top team he is a very useful team member.

John Sleeman (0)

John is in his fourth year at Eton and has made regular appearances for the Eton team. He is a member of Cowdray Polo Club and also plays at Guards while at school. He has attended a Young England training programme and last year won the most valuable player award in the Eton/Harrow match. He will be looking to recreate that form again this year.

Gonzalo Entrecanales (1)

Gonzalo has played regularly in low goal tournaments in Madrid and Sotogrande and last year moved on to play in a 14 goal tournament in Madrid which brought his game on greatly. He has followed his brother to Eton and is looking forward to joining him in Eton colours this season with the top team.

Tom St Aubyn (-1)

Tom started playing polo when he was 11 at the Beaufort polo club and has played there ever since. He has always been a keen member of pony club polo and last year played for Ladyswood in their Langford team, as well as in lots of low goal up to 8 goal polo. He has represented Eton a number of times throughout his time here.

Alastair Lloyd-Webber (0)

Alastair started playing polo when he was 11. He is a member of Tidworth polo club and has played in many tournaments over the past 3 years. He won the U14s pony club championships at Cowdray, the West Wycombe cup, and low goal tournaments at Tidworth. He is keen to break into the top team at Eton this season.

Alex Pitman (1)

Alex started playing at the age of 8. He has played for the Beaufort polo club for 8 years through most levels of the pony club up to Rendal. Last year he started playing in low goal matches and played a few times for Edgeworth. He has been a strong player in the Eton B team and is now working towards selection for the top team this season.

OXFORD

Tarquin Wethered (0)

Tarquin is in his second year studying Economics and Management at Balliol College and this is his first year of captaining OUPC. He has played polo since he was 10 and has a handicap of 0 goals.

Alexandre Leuba (-2)

Alex is a finalist studying Russian at Exeter College. He has been playing polo for around five years, recently joining the Kirtlington Park Polo Club. Since starting at Oxford he has represented the Dark Blues in two Varsity Matches, the SUPA championships and the Atlantic Cup - this being one of his last appearances for the Oxford side, he is determined to secure the win and end his university polo days on a high!

Majdjy Fawzy Al-Qaramany (-2)

Madjdy is reading International Relations at New College. He took up polo while at university and was the chairman of the club last year.

Thomas Mayou (0)

Tom, studying Theology at Mansfield College, is playing his first varsity match this year. He hopes to bring some experience to the side however, having spent his gap year in New Zealand playing under the watchful eye of Roddy Williams. A member of the Eton side in 2007, he is no stranger to Jack Wills Varsity Polo and hopes to reverse his previous fortunes with a win today.

William Spray (0)

William is in his second year studying English at New College. He got into polo when he was about 14 but his main focus was rowing until he went to a polo farm in Argentina at 18 and started playing seriously. He now spends most of his summer playing polo and is looking forward to adding some matches for Oxford to his experience of the sport. As well as polo, he is a keen tennis player and skier and also has a deep interest in theatre.

Henrietta Seligman (-1)

Henrietta is in her third year studying Classics at St. Anne’s and is the current chairman of the club. She has played polo for six years and is a member of West Wycombe Park Polo Club. Since coming to Oxford, she has played in one Varsity Match, two Atlantic Cups and SUPA tournaments.

Fernando Balzaretti (-2)

Fernando is a first year at St. Benet’s reading History and Politics. He started playing polo when he was very little but had to stop at 12. Since coming to Oxford, he is happy at the opportunity to start playing again. So far Oxford polo has been incredibly fun and he is looking forward to the possibility of playing for the Dark Blues

DURHAM

Charlie Talbot-Baker (-1)

I am in my fourth year at Durham studying Chemistry. I've been playing polo since I was 16, mainly going through the ranks in pony club. As well as this I played when at school at Marlborough and at University. Apart from polo I enjoy rowing with my college or taking long walks on the beach.

Alec Houston (1)

I’m a second year studing Applied Mathematics. I have been playing polo since I was four years old. I have always played polo for the social side and as such stuck to low goal and Pony Club teams with my mates. I have played polo with my floppy haired little brother Cam for a long time and so playing Durham very different. When I’m not "reluctantly" studying maths I do all sorts of sport from rugby and hockey to polo and shooting (obviously preferring polo). I also enjoy a drink with friends and frequently get asked if I’m actually Harry

Matt Cudmore (2)

I am in my 3rd and final year at Durham, studying economics. I have been playing polo since the age of 10 and the sport is a big part of my family, having regularly played along side my father and brother. I have been through the ranks of both Ponyclub and schools polo (Cheltenham College) having great fun in both and now play most of my polo at Cirencester and Longdole. I’m a pretty active person and as well as polo, my other sporting loves are rugby, hockey and cricket.

Rob Wilson (1)

I’m in my 3rd year of a 4 year engineering degree and have been playing polo since I was 11. My other interests include rugby and travelling. I play most of my polo around the great clubs in Gloucestershire. A big turning point in my polo career was my time at Cheltenham College and I have also been lucky enough to spend time in Argentina.
